Shitty Scene

Yesterday, while I was strolling down the supermarket aisle minding my own business, some offending smell filled the air. Yup, the smell of shit! I saw this two ladies, mum and grandma, and two little girls. The younger of the two girls wasn't wearing any pants, and the mum was wiping the floor with some tissue.

"Poo-poo accident", I thought to myself.

As if that wasn't bad enough, the grandma told the girl to bend over, "Come, por-por wipe." OMG! Could it get anymore unhygienic? Wiping ass right next to the shelves of biscuits!! At least have the decency to bring the girl to the toilet to clean her up lah, right or not? And after stuffing all the soiled tissues into a plastic bag, she tied it up and dump it into their trolley, which was filled with groceries!! Aiyoh....

I was standing there watching the whole scene. My natural reaction....*SNAP SNAP*

Precious Memories

One of my favourite tunes from the 60's is A Whiter Shade of Pale. Made popular by a group called Procul Harem. Never heard of this name until now. Listening to this song always fills my mind with images of my childhood....

- I remember the house I lived in.

- I remember my aunts and uncles who lived with me.

- I remember my young aunts who used to play with me. Taught me how to write my ABC's. See who is sulking in the picture?

- I remember an uncle taking me for a ride on his Vespa motorbike. And I used to stand in the front.

- I remember my mum chasing me around the house daily with a spoonful of cod liver oil, which I detested.

- I remember the dancing parties that my aunts organised. I would be sitting there watching all the adults dancing the night away. At times, some nice kor-kor will ask me to join in.

- I remember this nice boy who always visited us. Our families were close friends.

- I remember sitting all alone at the dining table, cos everyone had finished their meals. I took about 2-3hrs to finish a plate of rice. **malu**

- I remember going to the studio to have my photo taken. I hated it and I used to cry, and Mum would threaten coax me to strike a pose. And now? Cam-whoring is a daily activity!

- I remember setting the ironing board on fire when I was 4.

- I remember the black and white TV.

Do you remember?

I was keeping my fingers and toes crossed that this won't find me. But too bad, it didn't work. The much dreaded, extra long-winded, 70-question tag! Who started it ah? So free ah?

You probably won't even bother reading every word, but if you are game, go grab a cuppa and come back. It's terribly long....

5 Things

She always knows to tag me at the correct time. When I am stuck and have nothing to blog about.

5 things you didn't know about me. Ready?

1. I like the smell of kerosene and petrol.

2. Once in Std 5, I did very badly for the final exams. I erased the class position in my report card and amended it. Of course, the teacher could tell. And I came up with an absurd cock and bull story about my sister spilling ink. She didn't buy it at all, but let me off the hook anyway. Cos of my pleading puppy eyes.

3. I am a habitual procrastinator. I only do it when I absolutely have to. Damn bad habit.

4. I am an adopted child. I was no.8 in the family when I was given away. After that, they had another girl. I sometimes wonder how my life would have turned out if I had remained there.

5. I hardly touch any alcohol. I have never been high nor drunk in my life.

That's it! Done. End.

Fun with Fitball

Finally, the "back-to-school" mad rush and chaos is over. The girls are settled down in their new classes, and I'm now looking forward to the next school holidays.

I had to psych myself up to attend an exercise class this morning. So, so lazy. And boy, did I pay for that! All those dormant muscles (if there are any) are sore and aching now.

Somemore I had to be itchy backside and went to do something I have never tried before.

This.....

Watching a class where everyone seems to be having fun with a huge ball in between their legs, is very different from actually having that ball in between your legs!!!

It was one of the most tiring and physically demanding class that I have ever attended. It was like high impact aerobics, balanced on a ball. Must remember the steps and the co-ordination, must know how to bounce with the beat of the music, and worse of all, must open legs so big to accomodate the damn thing!! Aiyo, I'm not exactly tall, so even the smallest ball was quite a challenge.

Some of the other exercises I had to do ....

If only I looked so graceful. Not easy controlling that ball. I think I was the only one in class who had to chase after mine. Like cartoon only!!!

And the best position is this.....

Ahh..over at last.

I think it'll be awhile before I touch another fitball.
